Join the HJF, HJF Medial Research International (HJFMRI) Team!   The Henry M. Jackson Foundation Medical Research International (HJFMRI) provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to global medical research programs. HJFMRI in collaboration with The Walter Reed Project, HIV Program-Kericho carries out HIV / AIDS vaccine and therapeutic research, and with PEPFAR, supports HIV prevention, care and treatment programs in South Rift Valley.   The US Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) is staffed and aided by the Henry Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) and its subsidiary HJF Medical Research International (HJFMRI) to employ specialized HIV/AIDS technical support in Kenya. Efforts executed under this program focus on HIV prevention, care and treatment with funding from the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).   With headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, MHRP and HJF work together to support programs in Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, Tanzania, and Uganda. The PEPFAR program in Kenya works with health facilities and Community-Based Organizations (CBO) with the purpose of creating a lasting health change in Kenya. Our commitment to partnerships at every level and our multidisciplinary approach underpins our goal to have a lasting impact in communities.   The HJFMRI PEPFAR Kenya Country Director provides leadership and technical direction to ensure the strategic and programmatic integrity of the PEPFAR program and is responsible for achieving the planned results set out for the program.   The incumbent will work to support the PEPFAR program in the day-to-day oversight of diverse activities and personnel executing the mission. Activities will include, but are not limited to: coordinating and responding to requests from senior management and designated program and funding authorities (i.e. MHRP, HJF Home Office, USG Embassy team etc.), and engaging with local and international host governments (national and county-level), other implementing partners, and ensuring the PEPFAR program is meeting its many qualiatative and quantative deliverables. The HJFMRI PEPFAR Country Director is the primary point of contact for PEPFAR with the MRD-A/Kenya (WRAIR DoD) Government (USG) team based in Nairobi and serves as the HJF in­country lead for PEPFAR implementation.

The Senior Accounting Manager helps manage and actively participates in the accounting cycle to ensure that HJF’s accounting processes are timely, accurate, efficient, and consistent. The Senior Accounting Manager also oversees international payroll function.   This position will be in support of HJF's International Accounting team, within the Finance Department, located at the Home Office in Bethesda, MD.

The incumbent is responsible for HJFMRI Tanzania human resources planning, directing, controlling, and organizing to ensure HJFMRI Tanzania HR objectives are met in the most compliant, efficient and effective manner possible in alignment with local laws and HJF’s HR strategy. The position ensures that HJFMRI Tanzania is staffed with the right talent: right skills, experiences, and headcount to fulfill its strategic objectives. The position provides strategic direction to HJFMRI Tanzania in human resources planning, recruitment and selection, talent management, performance management, function evaluation, rewards, well-being, training and development, compliance, health, and safety, etc. The incumbent reports to the Operations Director but works closely with Global Human Resources (GHR) in a functional dotted line.

Developing adherence to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Helps assure that protocol requirements are achieved within Good Clinical Practices. This is the first of four levels, and the entry level position for the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) series.   This position will be in support of Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program (IDCRP) at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) in Portsmouth, VA. This position will primarily support Sexual Transmitted Infections and Deployment and Travel Related Infection protocols.     Note: This position requires incumbents to be U.S. Citizens.
